SkladomThe silver Vienna Philharmonic has been struck since 2008 by the Austrian mint Münze Österreich. Each coin contains 31.10 g of 999 silver and has a face value of 1.50 euros in Austria. The design matches the gold version: the organ of Vienna's Musikverein and the instruments of the Vienna Philharmonic.
Unlike investment gold, silver is not VAT-exempt in Serbia: 20% VAT applies and is included in the price shown. That makes the spread between selling and buyback price wider than for gold, so silver is usually bought as a long-term investment.
The silver price is more volatile than gold: in rising markets silver often climbs faster, but it also falls faster. Many buyers therefore keep the larger part of their investment in gold and a smaller part in silver.
The silver price per gram and the coin price are shown above and update during the day based on the exchange silver price and the EUR middle rate.
